That I don't have an analysis or insight to offer doesn't mean I don't care. It simply means there are limits on what we know, and what we do know suggests circumspection.
Wow! These observations are so rational and grounded in humility, that there is no chance many will read or accept it. We will see none of this reflection from our pundit class and retired generals, who will provide lots of sweeping generalizations, hysteria, and instant speculation to feed the media machine. Most of which will be wrong or just cool stories.
I am of an age that I grew up with the tales of Uncle Remus, one of which is titled "Brer Rabbit and de Tar Baby." It is considered politically incorrect today, if I am not mistaken, but the moral to the story is clear: Starting a fight unnecessarily is likely to turn out differently (and worse) than you expect. And I don't expect that this will turn out well for the US, even if they notch a nominal "win" in Iran. The loss of trust and moral authority among the nations and people of the world will bite us in the butt in situations that will be far more important (dangerous?) than Iran.
War first and foremost is a racket. Always has been. This particular war, is being waged at the behest of some of the Donor Class. Make of that what you will.
Well said. We do now have early indications that as the Iranian Government feels existentially threatened by Trump they will make every effort to close the Streets of Hormuz. That would be a catastrophe of the first magnitude for the world economy.

I care and could wish it never happened and at least that it would end today.
true, there are limits on what we know.
but...
in my opinion, it looks very knowable that this is just one more MINOR event in the almost endless series of minor events in IC.
I doubt that this small war will become anything major.
(though of course to the small portion of the world's people who are close to the events, this small war could be life altering).
que sera sera.
also, The War is misleading, since there is that other minor war ongoing between Ukraine and Russia.
